1.1 Active holidays for groups
Active holidays are based on a weekly schedule from Saturday till the next Saturday in the monthes July and August:
Arrival on Saturday
On Sunday first exploration of the area by minibus.
Four days for walking or cycling. One day for rest or for another activity: rafting on the river Vltava near Veltrusy or a boat trip on the river Luznice near Tabor.
The last Saturday for shopping and departure.
These group tours can be organised when at least eight persons are participating, because of the efforts for guidance and transportation. For the groups full service is arranged: all the lodging (bed, breakfast, lunch, dinner) and all the transport which is necessary for walking or cycling the designed routes. Important for active holiday participants is the influence of the whether. High temperatures and heavy rains regularly can occur in the continental climate of this area. Due to the destructive impact of extreme whether conditions and steep slopes upon the human body even when that is well trained it can be necessary to adapt the original program. But there are various alternatives: Within a radius of 100 kilometer there are three Unesco-protected towns plus a monumental village to visit: Prague, Kutna Hora, Cesky Krumlov and the village Holasovice. You can visit spas and practice different cures (if ordered ahead). Cures with mud, oils or wax, swimming in salt water pool and other procedures provide you another style of recreation. You can choose a day program of the possible excursions (mentioned on the next page). Or you can go swimming in an old stone mine, lake or in the river Vltava.
Route 1 for walkers: river and fields (approximately 6 kilometres) : The tour starts with a transfer by minibus to the village Zvirotice at the river Vltava. From there you walk through the fields and characteristic villages to Chlum, looking at the landscape and the wildlife (special deers). From Chlum the bus takes you back to the hostel
Route 2 for walkers: woods and river (approximately 7 kilometres) : You walk along the banks of the river Vltava from the village Radic via the Celtic Fortress to Hluboka, looking at the view from the hills upon the river Vltava. From Hluboka back to Sedlcany by minibus
Route 3 for walkers: woods and fields (approximately 13 kilometres) : The area around the village Vysoky Chlumec is a beautiful background of this route. 'Vysoky' means 'high', because the village is strikingly located on a hill. The minibus brings you to Krasna Hora near Kamyk nad Vltavou, where the trip starts. Via the monastery 'Svaty Jan,' Plesiste, Blahova Lhota and Poresice you walk to Vysoky Chlumec, where you can relax in the local beer brewery. From here back to Sedlčany by minibus.
Route 4 for walkers: Woods and fields (approximately 10 kilometres) : The start will be in Knovice. Via the watch tower in Drahousek, Prosenicka Lhota you walk to the stone mine in Borena Hora. From there back to Sedlčany by minibus.
For the cyclists a comparable arrangement is available. The central places now are Sedlcany and Kamyk nad Vlavou, where you start and finish. For cyclists ?with their own bicycle is it important to have mountain-bike tubes on the wheels, then roads and path?s in this region are not always equipped with a very flat surface. Per day you will cycle in average approximately 30 kilometres.
Route 1 for cyclists (approximately 22 kilometres) : Via cycle route 8136 from Sedlcany to Prosenicka Lhota; via route 8132 to Stetkovice-Borena Hora and Vojkov; Via cycle route 112 to Kosova Hora; Via cycle route 11 to Sedlcany Or longer variant for approximately 35 kilometres: via route 112 from Vojkov to Zahradka; then by normal road to-Dedkov and Chotetice; then via route 0042 to Jesenice; via route 11 to Sedlcany?
Route 2 for cyclists (approxiately 45 kilometres) : From Sedlcany via cycle route 11 to Jesenice; via cycle route 8138 to Vysoky Chlumec and Krasna Hora; via cycle route 111 to Svaty Jan ; via cycle route 111 to Sedlcany A short cut is possible: Vysoky Chlumec via route 8137 and route 111 to Sedlcany implicates a tour of 36 kilometres?
Alternative route 2 over two bridges and many hills for fanatics approximately 48 kilometres) : Via cycle route 8138 from Sedlcany to Dublovice; via 8134 to Nalzovice; via 8132 to Krepenice and to the bridge near Cholin; via cycle route 301 to Mokrsko, via road number 102 to Chotilsko and via road 114 to Kremnicna - the bridge near Zivohost; from Zivohost to Nahoruby to Radic; via cycle route 8132 from Radic to Knovice; via route 8135 to Pricovy: via 8133 to Sedlcany.
Route 3 for cyclists (approximately 27 kilometres) : Via cycle route 8133 from Sedlcany to Pricovy; via cycle route 8135 to Knovice and Nova Ves; via cycle route 8132 to Krepenice; via cycle route 301 to Lichovy - Hrachov - Drazkov-Hojsin to Kamyk nad Vltavou?
Route 4 for cyclists (approximately 29 kilometres) : Via cycle route 111 from Kamyk nad Vltavou to Krasna Hora and Milesov; via cycle route 8140 to Predni Chlum and Solenice. From Solenice by normal road to Neprejov to the main road number 18. Via road 18 to Zduchovice and back to Kamyk

As a individual you choose the route you wish to do, as well as the amount of days you think that is suitable for your holiday. The organisation has reserved lodging for one day, when you participate in one route. The definitive implementation of the holiday can be arranged with the organisation.
